The Board of Gem Innovation Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Stacey Walker as the new principal of Gem Prep Nampa.  Currently working at Riverstone International School in Boise, Mrs. Walker will officially begin on July 1, 2016.

Stacey has a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Northwest Nazarene University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Boise State University.  She comes to us with a broad range of experience working with elementary students having taught kindergarten, first, third, fourth, and fifth grades.  A recognized leader in inquiry based instruction, Stacey presented at the International Baccalaureate Conference of Americas last July on inquiry based planning with all stakeholders.  Stacey was a Khan Academy mentor during the 2014-2015 school year and a Khan Academy Ambassador for the State of Idaho to promote the LearnStorm initiative in 2015-2016.  She has skillfully integrated technology into the classroom inspiring students to learn 21st Century skills. We are excited to bring Stacey’s expertise, enthusiasm, and energy to Gem Prep Nampa.
