How the Online School Works
A COLLEGE PREP VIRTUAL SCHOOL
(Grades K-12)
Gem Prep: Online is a free college prep virtual school, with students attending school from home or from one of our Learning Societies. Students in our online school access the same curriculum as our brick and mortar schools, and are supported by certified teachers.
STRONG FOUNDATION K-5
Our program is designed to prepare students by building a strong academic foundation in the elementary grades.
ACCELERATED LEARNING 6-8
As students progress to middle school, they enroll in courses that will position them for success in high school courses.
EARLY COLLEGE IN HIGH SCHOOL 9-12
High school students complete dual credit college courses. They choose between two high school graduation pathways: 1) they can either complete high school having earned 18+ college credits or 2) having completed their 2-year college degree.
DEVELOPING SELF-MOTIVATED & LIFE-LONG LEARNERS!
- Explore their interests; key to encouraging them to find their own “why” for education and college;
- Develop academic & life competencies that set them up for success in college & future careers;
- Save money and time on their college degree through early college in high school and access to college scholarships.
