Ava Mendoza, Gem Prep Online’s 2023 valedictorian, was one of 33 Idaho students recently awarded the Governor’s Cup Academic Scholarship. This past May, Ava graduated high school having earned both her high school diploma from Gem Prep: Online and her Associates of Arts degree from North Idaho College. She completed 88 dual college credits while in high school, saving more than $29,000 on her college tuition. After high school, she will pursue the completion of her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho.
