Brenda Pina serves as the Chief Operations Officer for Gem Innovation Schools. She handles the day-to-day administration and operation of the network of schools. Brenda is tasked with providing leadership, management, and vision to ensure that the network has effective people, operational controls, and administrative and reporting procedures in place. She balances organizational efficiency and the need for standardization with individual school needs.

Before accepting operations leadership for the network, Brenda served as School Operations Manager in Gem Prep: Nampa for three years, where she was recognized for delivering superior results and was asked to transition the network’s lottery/registration process from paper to the use of an online platform (Schoolmint). In 2017 she worked with local food vendors to provide a lunch program for students in Gem Prep: Pocatello. A year later she implemented the National School Lunch Program in both Gem Prep: Nampa and then in Gem Prep: Meridian in 2018.

Upon receiving her B.S. in Human Resource Management and Operations Management from the University of Idaho in 2016, Brenda Pina proudly became the first member of her family to graduate from college.
